In the development of my photographic language by questioning my visual intelligence, I mix art, science and technology. Practically, I conduct research and eagerly experiment with light, geometric shapes, abstractions, transformations and dimensions
Both emotionally and artistically, intellectually and scientifically, I am strongly drawn to the inspiring epoch following the turn of the last century, as well as the Interbellum. The times when disruptive art movements Cubism and Constructivism flourished and the ‘Staatlichen Bauhaus’ saw the light of day.
Consequently, I am fascinated by the geometric abstractions, work and writings of the groundbreaking artists involved, but I am equally drawn to the well-founded theories and publications of scientists who were at the basis of the ‘Gestalttheory’ and significantly informed our understanding of ’Perception’.
In the conduct of my research and work, I gradually realized that my visual process unfolds along the abstract threefold pattern of ‘construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction´ based on a single image. I adopted this trinity as core to my creative concept (in development), in which I conceive the (scientifically) intuitive and intellectual modes of visual structuring in connection with (practically) distinct perceptual viewpoints.
